Poor planning always gets poor results. Nevada should be managed like a business and The State Assembly members should be thinking ahead rather than reacting to bad times too late. Currently their best efforts are applying temporary "fixes" but that just passes the problem along to the next legislature. The Assembly has been doing that for years and now here we are, broke!

The current Nevada State Assembly is heavy with lawyers and professional civil servants that lack business management experience and have never had to cover a payroll. They have no idea what else to do but kick the problem down the road!

The recent special session of the Legislature had to cut a huge amount of money out of the state budget. Education took a horribly large hit as did virtually all other state services. Money was even appropriated from local government's accounts for state use which in turn will cause local programs to be cut back or to fail completely. All of these "fixes" will result in even bigger problems in future years.

And now as a reward for this poor performance, they want to be re-elected!
